Time for a check in about the direction the MUSH is going, and to collect some formal feedback about what we're doing right (and wrong!)
The issues I specifically want to ask about:
1. Threadfall?
Right now, after the initial Falls, we are thinking of holding one Thread scene a month focused around an event or concept. (IE: from the perspective of Ground Crew, or heavy Fall that abruptly gets rained out.)
However, we're aware that Thread scenes are not traditionally all that popular. The three of us seem to be unified on a pretty dark initial outlook on Thread, but we're aware that swinging grisly for at least the first year of 'Fall might not be something you're into seeing. So. Let us know your feelings on that.
Additionally: Do you want some kind of coded support for Thread? What would that ideally look like for you if we did?
2. Website?
We've been discussing different options for a website, and we have no particular decision made except that we should have a web presence that isn't this LJ. What would you like to see on a website? How important is the ability to comment? Do you want the newsfiles to be online?
3. Weyrhold?
We've had a number of players approach us with the desire to achieve Weyrleader/Weyrwoman for their character, but the game was initially not set up to support that due to feelings among the three of us that lots of other games offer that, and that it doesn't lead to a lot of stability for storytelling choices. However, we know it's the ultimate goal for most gold and bronzerider characters.
Would you rather us start to swing the plot to allow for PC leadership in a sort of Weyrhold set up, shuffle the PCs who make it to the top jobs to the Weyr or... something else entirely?
As with last time, any thing else you want to see? Something we're screwing up?
